About Ayesha
I’m Ayesha—a therapist, practice owner, community advocate, and founder of Aire & Ease. My story begins in South Central Los Angeles and continues here in the Wiregrass, where I am still working to help people feel seen, supported, and connected.
A little about me

Hi, I'm Ayesha. I was born and raised in South Central Los Angeles, and I am the child of a first-generation immigrant. The community that raised me taught me strength, resourcefulness, and the importance of showing up for people. It also shaped the way I understand culture, family, struggle, healing, and belonging.
Moving from Los Angeles to the Wiregrass was more than a change of address. I had to learn a new area, build new relationships, and figure out where I fit. I was working, building a life, caring for the people around me, and continuing to grow professionally—but I also experienced the loneliness that can come with starting over. I missed the feeling of community and wondered where my people were.
That transition made me pay closer attention to how many other people are also looking for connection. You can be responsible, successful, dependable, and surrounded by people—and still wish you had a place where you could exhale and truly belong.
My work in counseling
I have worked as a therapist since 2013. Over the years, I have met so many people who needed support but were afraid they would be judged, misunderstood, rushed, or reduced to a diagnosis. I wanted counseling to feel different. I wanted people to feel connected to their therapist, safe enough to open up, and confident that the person sitting across from them genuinely cared about who they were—not only what they were going through.
In 2023, I opened Aire Counseling & Consulting Services. I created the practice because I believed people deserved thoughtful, compassionate care and a safe place to talk about the parts of life they may not feel comfortable sharing anywhere else. I wanted clients to know they were more than paperwork, symptoms, or a label. They were whole people with stories, strengths, needs, and hopes.
My work continues to focus on helping people navigate real life: transitions, grief, motherhood, relationships, self-worth, emotional wellness, healing, boundaries, and the process of finding themselves again. Counseling is only one part of how I serve. I also work to make mental-health awareness and wellness feel more approachable throughout the Wiregrass community.
From counseling to community
Therapy can be life-changing, but not every moment of support has to happen in a clinical setting. I kept thinking about the women who are always carrying something—work, family, motherhood, relationships, grief, change, expectations, or the pressure to keep going even when they are tired.
I wanted to create experiences where women could learn about emotional wellness and still laugh, move, create, eat, connect, and enjoy themselves. A space where talking about mental health did not have to feel intimidating or heavy. A space that could help someone feel less alone while also making it easier to recognize when professional support might be helpful.
Aire & Ease began in 2025 as part of that vision. I wanted to create the kind of welcoming room I had once wished existed for me—not a room where everyone had it all together, but a room where nobody had to.
“I was looking for my people too. I found my place by helping other women find theirs.”— Ayesha
Why Aire & Ease
I did not want Aire & Ease to feel heavy or clinical. I wanted women to be able to talk about real life and still laugh. To reflect and still have fun. To learn something useful, try something creative, move their bodies, enjoy good food, meet someone new, or take a quiet moment without having to explain themselves.
Every detail matters to me because the details help people feel seen. The welcome, the atmosphere, the activities, the little touches, and the way someone feels when she walks into the room all communicate the same message: you belong here too.
Building community is not something I consider finished. I continue listening, creating events, partnering with others, sharing resources, and finding new ways to bring women together across Dothan and the Wiregrass. I want this community to grow with intention while always remaining warm, relatable, and true to the people it was created for.
What I hope you feel
Whether you come with friends or arrive by yourself, I want you to feel that there is room for you.
You do not need a polished story or perfect words. Real life is enough, and sharing is always your choice.
I hope you leave with a new face you recognize, a conversation you remember, or the reminder that you are not doing life alone.
The community today
The annual Aire & Ease Women's Mental Health & Wellness Experience is our larger flagship gathering. It brings the full vision together in one memorable day. Sister Circles carry that feeling throughout the year through smaller opportunities for honest conversation, creativity, laughter, rest, and community.
My hope is that Aire & Ease continues to grow without losing what matters most: warmth, intention, compassion, and the freedom to show up as yourself. If you have ever felt like you were looking for your people, I hope this community helps you feel a little closer to finding them.
From me to you
“Come laugh. Come breathe. Come meet somebody new. Come take up a little space for yourself—you deserve that too.”
